I have been a self-taught painter since December of 2016. My love for history and museums growing up has impacted my adaption of using paint mediums. Over the years, I have started to find my ‘art style’ and have grown fond of acrylic paint and ocean seascapes. Through this page, you will find a small portfolio of paintings created over the last two years.
My Inspiration: Vincent van Gogh
Vincent van Gogh is one of my biggest inspirations in the art world. His style, imagination, and techniques are some that I admire. Growing up, I had the privilege to see a few of Vincent van Gogh’s paintings throughout my life, which has impacted my passion for creating. With that impact, I have adapted a modern-day post-impressionist style through my paintings, and I hope to improve my skills as the years go on.
Vincent van Gogh is one of the most known painters in the world. His paintings are awed due to their bright colors and expressive texture; This idea contrast with the mental disorders he experienced in his life. Seeing Van Gogh’s art and learning about his life puts viewpoints in perspective. I believe one can learn a lot about a person through their art.
Listed below are a few of his paintings that inspire me as an individual and artist:
“I put my heart and soul into my work, and I have lost my mind in the process.”

My primary use of blue tones, ocean scenes, and crisp details are highlights of my painting style. I strickly use acrylic paint for my work, and occasionally I dip into watercolors. I am inspired by God’s creation, along with artists such as Vincent van Gogh. There is so much beauty in God’s creation and the oceans and sunsets God has designed. Through my paintings, I pray that others will see a reflection of God: for He is the ultimate artist.
